Why are we doing this?

From recent surveys it does seem that national brands have taken all the opportunities for businesses to be able to promote themselves, leaving very little opportunity for the local business during the forthcoming Summer of Sport.  Richard Knight, Chair of FSB East Berkshire branch says, "The FSB have looked at numerous opportunities for local businesses to advertise themselves during the forthcoming Summer of Sport and it appears that the opportunities are limited, and almost non existent in some areas. We feel that if local businesses are going to benefit from the opportunities that any worldwide televised or live event brings then they are going to have to look for these opportunities themselves. The Pass the Baton idea is the result of collaborative efforts from 3 local businesses getting together to look at helping other local businesses benefit from this opportunity, so I would strongly urge you to participate”
